So I decided to become my own counsellor interior designer and fix up my room, in order to fix up my happiness! Do my ideas work for you though? Hmm...
Recently an old school friend contacted me and we started to talk about how we make ourselves feel better when days are a downer and life feels a tad bit unbearable. I decided that my little tricks may be beneficial for others so thought why not ramble on about it for 13 minutes?
Some of the things I talk about include:
1. Self-affirm walls
Sticking up words/phrases that you are and want to be as a constant reminder of what you have achieved for yourself and what you intend to be.
I love family photos around my room to show me who motivates me, remind me of good memories and to always have a connection to the people I love & value the most.
Books are not only d o p e but a nice escape from the woes of the real world sometimes. I invest in books on philosophy, mindfulness and meditation to keep me grounded and calm.
